All-around great pair of shoes. I bought a pair in brown leather and was very satisfied. The leather's buttery smooth straight out of the box without any real need to break them in, although they naturally look and feel a lot better once you've had them for a while. They're more boot than sneaker so I suggest lacing them a little looser toward the toe cap than you would a pair of Chucks or other canvas sneakers with a similar design, and like Chucks, they run a half-size large.
Cons? The rubber sawtooth grip on the sole isn't exactly made of the heaviest-duty stuff, and will wear away with time. It doesn't give you any increased traction on slippery surfaces, although to be fair it doesn't claim to either. All the same, don't wear these when it's wet out. I also kind of dislike the rubber logo patch on the side; either a different-colored leather/canvas one, or none at all, would been preferable to me, though that's just a personal nitpick.
Altogether, good shoes. Great shoes, even. Kind of rare, too. I think Converse might have discontinued them since they're no longer offered on their website. Cop these while you can.

I just ordered these for a girlfriend that has weak ankles and thought the high tops would offer her some support. They really do help. They are really sharp looking being all leather. She wears them to work and she needed that special sole that offers safety traction; Also a very nice feature, not like most sneakers that have fairly flat bottoms.She is very happy with this shoe. Nice fitting and you know Converse is a quality shoe. Forget the canvas shoes and pay a little extra and get real leather.

This is one awesome looking shoe. Much better than wearing all of these corny other hi tops that hit the market every week.
