4 of 4 people found the following review helpful.By far, the best boot I've ever worn
By Samuel Gerry
I've been in the military for 8 years, and have gone through probably a dozen different types of boots. These are the best combination of price, comfort, and durability. The pair I'm about to retire have been going strong for almost 4 years, and in those 4 years the only issue is one of the boot laces frayed. I wouldn't recommend these as extreme cold weather boots because they lack the insulation to keep your feet warm in a Korean/Alaskan/Upstate NY winter. But for weather that's warmer then freezing, these are extremely durable. They've done dozens of 3-6 mile ruck marches, and a couple of 12 milers without any issues with my feet. They've also held up well through two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, so if you require a durable boot that breathes well, and is comfortable to move in all day, this is a great boot.

I debated for quite a while before buying these boots, but am happy I did. I have taken them through mud, rock, and sand without problem. For me, their size was marginally on the large size, so I ended up adding an after market insole for a little more snugness. My only complaint would be the laces included; they are almost too short to tie the boots tightly on the top notch. This will be resolved by using paracord in the near future.
Overall, great buy. 5/5*

This is my second pair of Altama EXOspeed boots. The first pair made it through a deployment to Afghanistan and two yrs. of working on a farm. Comfortable, rugged, and the soles have a great grip.
